Hoang Hen's brace helps Hanoi FC defeat CAHN 2-1 in the capital derby in round 15 of the V-League, allowing them to return to the top 4.
The Capital derby between Hanoi FC and CAHN in round 15 of the V-League took place at Hang Day Stadium with a tense atmosphere and high intensity from the opening minutes.
Both teams started with determination, constantly pressing and fiercely contesting in the midfield area, resulting in a fast-paced and highly competitive match.
In the 4th minute, CAHN created the first dangerous situation. A cross was delivered into Hanoi FC's penalty area for Dinh Bac to contest high in the air. Quang Hai immediately rushed in to seek a finishing opportunity, but the purple defenders intervened timely, saving goalkeeper Quan Van Chuan's goal.


A few minutes later, in the 7th minute, Doan Van Hau displayed impressive technical skill by dribbling past Fisher's pressing effort before launching a pass to initiate an attack. However, CAHN's subsequent build-up lacked sharpness to produce a shot.
The period from the 17th to the 21st minute witnessed continuous pressure from the away team. Quan Van Chuan demonstrated excellent form by reading the situation accurately to catch Artur's lofted ball aimed at Van Hau. Shortly after, CAHN consecutively unleashed shots from the second line by Mauk and Le Pham Thanh Long, before the ball found Pendant Quang Vinh's position in the penalty area. Nevertheless, Hanoi FC's goalkeeper remained focused, executing crucial saves.
While somewhat disadvantaged in the match situation, Hanoi FC unexpectedly opened the scoring in the 27th minute. From a play inside the penalty area, Hoang Hen seized the opportunity to unleash a decisive shot that netted CAHN. The referee consulted VAR to check for potential offside and handball violations, but after review, the goal was confirmed, helping the home team advance to a 1-0 lead.


After conceding, CAHN pushed their formation higher in search of an equalizer. In the 40th minute, Dinh Bac moved intelligently to receive a through pass and unleashed a dangerous shot, but Quan Van Chuan prevailed again in the one-on-one situation. By the 45th minute, this forward once again put the ball into Hanoi FC's net after a breakaway shot that went wide of the post, however the referee raised the flag for offside.
Entering the second half, CAHN intensified their pressure strongly. In the 55th minute, Artur executed a skillful move to bypass goalkeeper Quan Van Chuan in the box and seemed poised to score, but defender Do Duy Manh timely retreated to clear the ball just before the opponent's striker could finish. Two minutes later, goalkeeper Quan Van Chuan continued to shine with a diving save against Le Van Do's dangerous free kick.
The away team continuously created opportunities but could not capitalize. In the 63rd minute, Dinh Bac fell in Hanoi FC's penalty area after a challenge with Adriel, but the referee determined the home defender had made a legitimate tackle. In the 69th minute, Dinh Bac again made a determined dribble before delivering a dangerous cross, but Quan Van Chuan rushed out to intercept timely.
The turning point of the match arrived in the 71st minute when Fisher was fouled by goalkeeper Nguyen Filip in the penalty area, awarding Hanoi FC a penalty. At the 11-meter spot in the 74th minute, Hoang Hen executed a cool shot that deceived Nguyen Filip, doubling the lead to 2-0 for the home team and completing his personal brace.
In the final minutes, CAHN launched a full-force attack. In the 81st minute, Rogerio bypassed Thanh Trung then cleverly flicked his boot tip when facing Quan Van Chuan, but the ball narrowly missed the post. By the 85th minute, Artur unleashed a diagonal shot that caused Quan Van Chuan to handle clumsily, yet Hanoi FC's goalkeeper still managed to control the situation before Rogerio rushed in for a follow-up shot.
In the 95th minute, Rogerio stormed forward and unleashed a decisive shot but the ball struck the crossbar of Hanoi FC's goal, missing the chance to reduce the deficit for CAHN.
In the 97th minute, CAHN were awarded a penalty after the referee determined Xuan Manh committed a foul in the penalty area. Artur defeated goalkeeper Quan Van Chuan from the penalty spot, narrowing the score to 1-2 for CAHN. However, immediately after this goal, the referee also blew the whistle to end the match. This is CAHN's first defeat in the V-League this season.
Hanoi FC secured a 2-1 final victory to return to the V-League top 4, while CAHN still leads the standings but now only holds a 4-point advantage over second-placed The Cong Viettel.
