Beijing time March 10, according to Lakers Daily sources: If LeBron James does not retire this offseason, he will not intend to play for the Golden State Warriors next season.

The 41-year-old James will become a full free agent this offseason, the first time since 2018. Sources indicate that the Warriors are expected to pursue James in the free market, with Curry and Green also recruiting the NBA's all-time scoring leader and shooting champion.
However, sources state that if James does not retire, it is widely believed within the league circle that he will only re-sign with the Lakers or return to the Cleveland Cavaliers for a third time.
One source told Lakers Daily: "Joining the Warriors for a farewell tour makes no sense. His options are only the Lakers, the Cavaliers, or retiring directly."
During James' tenure with the Cavaliers from 2014 to 2018, he faced the Warriors in the Finals for four consecutive years. The Warriors won championships in 2015, 2017, and 2018, while the Cavaliers achieved a historic championship in 2016.
Led by James and Kyrie Irving, the 2015-16 Cavaliers became the first team in NBA history to win the championship after trailing 3-1 in the Finals.
Although James is close friends with Curry and Green, and shares the Klutch Sports agency with Green, sources say that if James joins the team that defeated him three times in the Finals, it would shock the entire NBA circle.
Four-time MVP, four-time champion, four-time Finals MVP—James has not yet decided whether to retire or continue playing this offseason. The Akron-born star is currently the oldest active player in the NBA and will turn 42 this December.
James is currently suffering from a left elbow contusion and left foot arthritis. This season, with Austin Reaves playing alongside Doncic and James absent, the Lakers have achieved a 9-2 record.
