Xu Jie wins All-Star MVP! But this year's biggest highlight is the future girl.

Another year of CBA All-Star.

Just finished watching the main game, sharing some thoughts from these two days of observation.

The All-Star game content has long been lackluster. Overall attention has greatly declined, whether NBA or CBA.

So the NBA is desperately trying to innovate.

This year introduced the Team USA vs. International Team hype, but the final effect was mediocre. Once this novelty passes, wondering what strange format Commissioner Silver will devise next...

For the CBA, fortunately, the recent two national team games were won, both comeback victories.

Otherwise... this article wouldn't exist.

Celebrating big after a loss would be inappropriate. Like a student failing the college entrance exam but holding a grand banquet...

Thank goodness!

What was the biggest highlight over these two days?

I choose the Skills Challenge.

Not sure if you noticed, the NBA has already canceled the Skills Challenge.

In the 2025 Skills Challenge, Paul and Wembanyama were disqualified for not following the procedure, their "trying to be clever" sparked widespread discussion, brothers probably remember.

The league not scheduling it this year perhaps marks its exit from All-Star history.

Against this backdrop, the CBA introduced something new this year.

Different from before, the event flow was set according to the Chinese Basketball Association's Basketball Skill Level Assessment Ten-Level Test method.

Using a time-penalty system: each error in the technical assessment adds 2 seconds to the base time; each missed three-pointer adds 3 seconds.

The Skills Challenge had many segments, 16 items:

①Step-up defense→②Side shuffle→③Mis-match defense (strong-side off-ball player close defense)→④Weak-side help defense (weak-side off-ball player open defense)→⑤Stop-and-break→⑥Two-hand chest pass→⑦Stop-and-break→⑧Right-hand layup→⑨Left-hand layup→⑩Back-to-basket stop-turn shot (right and left, miss requires make)→⑪Free-throw line shot (miss requires make)→⑫Front crossover dribble→⑬Between-legs dribble→⑭Behind-the-back dribble→⑮Spin dribble→⑯Three-point shots three times (no make required)

Not just the players, even viewers were confused.

If I were to compete, I couldn't do it... can't remember.

The eventual winner was Jiang He, a rookie from Nanjing Tongxi.

Against this backdrop, special praise for the invited "future girl" Feng Minmin.

A sophomore at Guangxi Longzhou County High School, previously gained online fame for performing a difficult "dragon tail swing" move on court, also reported by major state media.

With such complex segments, the young girl showed no stage fright, serious attitude, and completed with quality.

Especially in mid-range shooting, outperforming many professional players...

Some players competing lacked basic skills and had poor attitude.

In the remaining contests, expecting players to defend and play hard in the main game is unrealistic.

Xu Jie scoring 35 points becoming MVP, already the vote leader, deserved.

The Three-Point Contest was exciting, Hu Mingxuan won over Yu Mitie in overtime.

The Slam Dunk Contest, supposedly the main event each year.

Wildcard player "Glasses Brother" Zhang Dingyan won the dunk contest with three perfect scores.

Truly high level, even in NBA standards.

But, from prelims to finals they were flyers, professionals in this, CBA pro players can't match.

For viewers, entertaining but becomes repetitive after too much...
